Groundbreaking for Walton on the Park

Developers and real estate professionals met in the cold to celebrate the groundbreaking of one of the most widely anticipated new condominium developments in downtown Chicago.

Walton on the Park,k located at 1 W. Walton Street, is a project by Enterprise Companies and Mesirow Financial.  The tower will offer a number of different floor plans, ranging in size from one to three bedrooms.  Prices for these luxury units start at $450,000 and range up to as much as $1.3 million for a penthouse unit.

The development is already 70 percent sold, and the developers have plenty of time to close out on the remaining units.  Delivery of the first units will start sometime in early 2010, according to the developer.

The developer is also planning a second tower.  Construction on the tower will start once sales hit the 75 percent mark on the first tower.    Walton on the Park is one of several new luxury condominium developments currently underway.  It is near the future site of Ten East Delaware.
